Youth development from farm to fork  ---- Olivia Davis

The youth development from farm to fork programs are offered through a collaboration of local OSU Extension units as part of our efforts to meet community needs. Our work focuses on teaching nutrition, agriculture, cooking skills, and teamwork to youth in Jefferson County and on the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. From Pre-School field tours and recipe tastings to middle school cooking competitions, school gardens and more our program incorporates the importance of making healthy choices from farm to table. Lessons and activities are delivered with cultural humility and are planned with an open discussion format, encouraging youth to connect with the information and learn new skills.
