Oregon State University’s Extension Small Farms Program is a team of 17 professionals committed to advancing resilient agriculture, community food systems, and economic progress for Oregon’s small farmers, ranchers, and landowners.
We accomplish this by:
- helping rural land stewards, small- and mid-scale farmers and ranchers, and the farm curious, explore what is possible,
- solving problems or challenges associated with small- and mid-scale farming and ranching and
- connecting farmers and ranchers to one another through farmer networks and associated events.
This work is carried out in close partnership with individuals, organizations and agencies across Oregon, and is delivered through one-on-one consultations, research-based resources, educational programming, peer connections, and direct technical assistance.
