The VegNet program provides regional monitoring of 10+ different insect pests of processed vegetable crops. Many of these pests have wide host ranges, and the information is relevant for field and orchard crops, home gardeners, and retail nursery businesses. Pest activity reports are sent to program subscribers to provide advance notice of elevated trap counts. Users can then make informed IPM decisions.
Your financial support of the program helps with operating costs, integration of technological tools such as mapping, collaboration on invasive insect detection efforts, and support of pest monitoring as a sustainable IPM practice for Oregon cropping systems.
